Have you ever wondered how some women manage to keep showing up with grace and strength, even when life delivers its hardest blows?
On Thursday, October 16, Emmy Award-winning journalist Kym Gable joins Beth Caldwell and Pittsburgh Professional Women for an honest and heartfelt conversation about resilience, reinvention, and the courage it takes to keep going.
You're invited to join us for a lunchtime gathering called Grace Under Pressure: How to Stay Resilient During Life’s Challenges.

Many of you know Kym as a trusted voice from her years as a reporter and news anchor at KDKA CBS Pittsburgh, but what you may not know is the depth of her personal journey.
She supported her mother through decades of mental illness before losing her to Covid, and nearly lost her father, whom she now helps care for. Kym was also a primary caregiver for her father-in-law, who passed in 2020, and for her mother-in-law, who endured a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s until her passing in 2024.
More recently, Kym faced the sting of losing her seat at the anchor desk. In an industry where men often receive seven-year contracts while women are offered just one, she knows what it means to put on a brave face while privately wrestling with heartbreak and disappointment.
Together, Beth and Kym will share deeply personal stories of navigating grief, burnout, betrayal, poverty, and reinvention. Both women understand—and embrace—the importance of showing up fully, even when life feels heavy.
Join us for a candid discussion about the pressures women face as professionals, caregivers, leaders, and changemakers—and how to move through these seasons without losing yourself.
