6:00–8:00 PM

Fritz Mitnik Garden at Cooper Siegel Library, Fox Chapel

Join women from all over Pittsburgh for this warm summer‑solstice gathering in honor of the longest day of the year—and in support of caregivers and patients living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Why We’re Gathering

As daylight gives way to dusk, many individuals facing dementia experience increased agitation and confusion—a phenomenon known as “sundowning.” By turning the longest day into a moment of community and connection, we aim to bring comfort, hope, and awareness to those impacted by Alzheimer’s right here in Pittsburgh.

About the Event

Beth Caldwell, Honorary Executive Chair of the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, together with Pittsburgh Professional Women, is delighted to host our very first Garden Party. Set in the beautiful Fritz Mitnik Garden at Cooper Siegel Library, this evening will blend relaxed outdoor ambience with purposeful conversation and networking.

The Plan

  • Connect & Mingle: Meet fellow advocates, caregivers, and friends of Pittsburgh Professional Women.

  • Light Bites & Bubbles: Enjoy a selection of refreshing hors d’oeuvres and sparkling refreshments.

  • Garden Music: Unwind to gentle live music beneath the trees.

  • Meaningful Conversation: Share stories, memories, and ideas for supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s.

Supporting the Cause

All ticket proceeds—and any additional donations—will benefit The Alzheimer’s Association, helping to fund caregiver programs and local research that brings us closer to a cure.

Reserve your spot today and help us turn sunset into a celebration of hope. We look forward to welcoming you to the garden!

Many thanks to our event sponsor, Wicked Smart Technologies:

Wicked Smart Technologies was founded by a granddaughter determined to change the story for families like hers. After losing her beloved Grandma Shirley—who had Alzheimer’s—to complications from incontinence-related injuries, CEO Alli Truttmann was inspired to create a better solution.

The Wicked Smart Pad™ is a washable, sensorized pad that alerts caregivers the moment moisture is detected—helping prevent harm, preserve dignity, and lighten the load for those who care for others.

Smart, simple, and compassionate—just the kind of innovation we’re proud to spotlight.
