If you've been to a Pittsburgh Professional Women event, you know I'm passionate about educating and empowering women. One of the most powerful ways we can do that is by helping women become confident with money. Even better, we can pass those lessons along to our daughters, nieces, neighbors, granddaughters, and the next generation.
One of my favorite quotes is, "When women do better, economies do better."
I believe that with my whole heart.
Financial confidence doesn't just change one person's life. It strengthens families, businesses, and entire communities. That's exactly why I started hosting Money Club conversations last year. I'm grateful to have created a space where women can have honest, judgment-free conversations about money.
This August, Pittsburgh Professional Women welcomes back Colleen Patel, creator of
Prescription for Financial Health™ and money coach for women as our special guest speaker for Money Club.
If the idea of “getting out of debt” immediately brings up anxiety, guilt, or thoughts of cutting everything you enjoy, this Money Club session is for you.

Colleen's methods are not about extreme budgeting or shame, and they are definitely not about giving up the things that make life fun. She helps women create a money plan for paying off debt that is actually easy to follow. These are money habits that work with your life, not against it. I like her methods so much that this is the third time I've invited her to speak to our community.
Should you attend?
This session is ideal if you:
Are avoiding money conversations
Feel guilty every time you spend money on yourself
Want a money plan that doesn't restrict or punish you
Want to pay off debt but keep procrastinating...and spending
Are tired of starting new money habits only to quit a few weeks later
You don’t need more willpower. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a smarter, more compassionate approach, and that's exactly what Colleen offers.
What You’ll Learn
During this session, Colleen will share how to:
✔︎ Know exactly which debts to tackle first.
✔︎ Build steady progress with simple steps.
✔︎ Create a debt payoff plan that works in real life.

Meet the Presenter

Colleen Patel is the creator of Prescription for Financial Health™ and a pharmacist turned money coach who helps women replace financial stress with confidence.
After paying off significant student loan and personal debt herself, Colleen realized that lasting financial freedom isn't built through guilt, deprivation, or extreme budgeting. Instead, she developed a practical, compassionate approach that helps women take control of their money one simple step at a time.
Today, Colleen helps busy women eliminate debt stress, create realistic spending plans, and build sustainable financial habits that support both their present lives and their future goals.
I have invited Colleen back to Pittsburgh Professional Women because her approach is practical, encouraging, and truly life-changing. She meets women where they are, without judgment, and gives them clear, actionable steps they can begin using immediately.
